Anna M. Gomez – Federal Communications Commissioner

Another one of the IWCE speakers is Commissioner Anna Gomez. She brings extensive telecommunications expertise spanning both public and private sectors to IWCE 2025. Her career includes pivotal roles at the FCC, where she served as deputy chief of the International Bureau and senior legal advisor to Chairman William E. Kennard. Her experience includes leadership positions at Sprint Nextel as vice president of government affairs and partnership at Wiley Rein. Prior to her current role as FCC Commissioner, she served as a senior advisor in the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy. Confirmed by the Senate in September 2023, Commissioner Gomez’s deep understanding of telecommunications policy and regulation makes her insights particularly valuable for industry professionals navigating the evolving communications landscape. As far as IWCE speakers go, this is one not to miss.

Nitin Natarajan – Deputy Director, CISA

As Deputy Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Nitin Natarajan brings extensive experience in critical infrastructure protection and cybersecurity as one of the IWCE speakers. He leads a 3,400+ person federal agency with a $3B budget, shaping U.S. defensive cybersecurity and infrastructure resilience policies at the highest levels. His expertise spans domestic and international policy, including direct engagement with the White House and Congress.

Before joining CISA in 2021, Natarajan held key positions in both public and private sectors, including leadership roles at the EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management. His background includes significant experience in emergency preparedness, health security, and critical infrastructure protection. At the EPA, he led responses to large-scale emergency incidents and oversaw crucial programs in environmental management and emergency response.

His unique combination of public service and private sector experience, including roles at Avantus Federal and The Cadmus Group, gives him valuable insight into the intersection of technology, security, and public safety communications.
