Retired Network Timing Equipment

Our large warehouse holds the largest stocked selection of retired network timing equipment in the USA. Syncworks enables network engineers and administrators to modernize and make resilient their networks their way. We can modernize using retired Microsemi, Telecom Solutions, Symmetricom, and more brand named equipment. Cards for network platforms in our warehouse are also ready to ship. Syncworks is the largest supplier of retired network sync and timing equipment. Our 10,000 square foot warehouse includes ready-to-ship retired timing platforms, network cards, replacement equipment, parts, accessories, wires, and cables. We will help you maintain and grow your network while still using legacy equipment like DCDs, SSU 2000s, and more.

SSU 2000 PTP and NTP Blades Upgrade Kits

Retired network timing equipment includes the Symmetricom SSU 2000 system. Retired and refurbished cards can be installed as single servers or redundant pairs in any available master or expansion shelf output slot. PTP capacity scales up at a rate of up to 400 full rate clients per card. Front-access IEEE 1588 traffic ports utilize Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) modules for flexibility to support 100 Base-T electrical or 1000Base-X optical or electrical interfaces. All configuration and management is consolidated through SSU 2000 system management ports to maintain security and isolation from IEEE 1588 ports.

Syncworks is known for the highest quality retired network timing equipment.

The DCD-LPR is a front-end primary reference source used in conjunction with the DCD bits clock platform for synchronizing digital telecommunications networks. The entire DCD timing platform is still a very widely utilized system and due to tight current-day budgets many of these clocks are expected to serve into the foreseeable future. Syncworks has the legacy clocking experience and surplus of parts needed to keep your system running as long as possible.

Retired DCD-523 / DCD-400 Cards

DCD-523 / DCD-400

Originally produced by Telecom Solutions, the DCD line of BITS clocks is one of the most widely used and recognizable clocks in North America. The DCD clocks serve as a common source for the frequency and phase sync necessary in any digital network element, tramission or switching. The DCD line of clocks is also known for its reliability. The DCD clock provides the necessary bridge in timing (holdover) and allows the network to continue to operate slip-free for several hours or days depending on the clock.

The DCD clocks were also designed to facilitate modular growth. DCD systems can be as simple as one master shelf. Up to three expansion shelves can be added to the master shelf, and output slots may be equipped as needed.

Installation & Commissioning

We complete the installation, power-up and provisioning of new sync equipment, manage integration with legacy equipment during conversion and conduct thorough testing and documentation of the functionality of the newly synced equipment (pre and post conversion).

TimeProvider® 1000 Cards

The TimeProvider® 1100 Cards – Symmetricom’s Edge Master Clocks are advanced IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) products that are scaled and optimized for deployment at or near the mobile network edge—solutions that evolve the synchronization distribution architecture without retrofit of existing backhaul equipment or reengineering the network.

TimeProvider® 2x00 & 500

The TimeProvider 2×00 and the TimeProvider 500 are standalone Precision Time Protocol (PTP) clients that enable network service providers to accelerate the upgrade of their existing network infrastructure to accommodate the next-generation, packet-based timing, and synchronization solutions. As a standalone device, TP 2×00/500 enables seamless migration of wireless base stations, DSLAM’s, LTE equipment, and other end-point network devices to PTP, providing immediate cost savings and a quick return on investment.

TimeSource® 3x00

TimeSource 3×00 provides your network Stratum 1 performance when locked to GPS or up to 72 hours if GPS signals are interrupted.

TimeSource 3×00 is a standalone office Primary Reference Source (PRS) with an integrated GPS receiver that allows your network to meet GR2830 requirements.

Datum PRR-10

Originally produced by Austron, which then became Datum, the PRR-10 was and continues to be a widely deployed Primary Reference Source for digital switches. The Datun Sync Equipment PRR-10 is designed to provide highly reliable Stratum 1 synchronization signals.

TSG 3800

The Austron TSG-3800 family of Timing Signal Generators was originally manufactured by DATUM and is made up of a 3800 master shelf and accompanying expansion shelf. They are timing signal generators that generate and distribute network synchronization signals. Input signals can be DS1, E1, 2048 kHZ, sinsoids, or square waves.

TimeHub 5500 NTP Upgrade Kit

Symmetricom’s NTP blades for the TimeHub 5500 allow your networks to meet modern critical requirements for the delivery of advanced services such as IPTV Content and Delivery, Billing Record Management, IP SLA Monitoring, and QoS Measurement Systems/Probes.
