Grandmaster Solution for E1/T1/CC signals (third-generation BITS/SSU)

Time Provider XT Extension System

The Time Provider XT Extension System represents a groundbreaking solution for organizations transitioning from legacy Sonet/SDH TDM synchronization to advanced timing architectures.

Replacing BITS/SSU Equipment

The TimeProvider XT extension system can be used with our redundant TP4100 Grandmaster to completely replace the old BITS/SSU equipment. To achieve this, a phase cutover is implemented by removing all the old BITS/SSU equipment and rewiring the network elements to modernize and save space in the central office.

Remastering the BITS/SSU Equipment

The TimeProvider XT extension system can be used with TP4100 redundant office masters to partially replace the old BITS/SSU equipment.  To achieve this, a phase cutover is implemented by decommissioning the old BITS/SSU equipment, but the old patch or wire-wrap panels are retained to avoid re-wiring network elements, which saves time and money.

Replace the TimeSource® PRS With the TP4100 Grandmaster

Our TP4x00 Grandmaster replaces the TimeSource as the Primary Reference Source (PRS) to provide an SNTP timing service and two T1 outputs to a BITS, with extra benefits. Using the TimeProvider 4×00 Grandmaster as a PRS meets the ITU-T G.811, ITU-T G.812 and ITU-T G.8272 Primary Reference Time Clock (PRTC) standards. It also provides free PTP backup with Assisted Partial Timing Support (APTS) to validate if the GPS connection is lost.
