In a recent development, Trump Mobile has revised its marketing language for the T1 smartphone. Initially promoted as “Made in the USA,” the company’s website now describes the device as “designed with American values in mind” and features phrases like “American-Proud Design” and “with American hands behind every device.
This change follows skepticism from analysts regarding the feasibility of producing a \$499 smartphone entirely within the United States, given the current supply chain limitations. Some experts suggest that the T1 may be a rebranded version of an existing Chinese model.
Despite the updated language, a Trump Mobile spokesperson stated that the T1 phones are “proudly being made in America,” dismissing contrary speculation as inaccurate.
The launch timeline for the T1 has also shifted from an initial August or September release to a more ambiguous “later this year.”
Trump Mobile, introduced by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, offers the “47 Plan” at \$47.45 per month, referencing President Trump’s 45th and 47th terms in office. The plan includes unlimited calls, texts, data, roadside assistance, and telehealth services.
As the T1 smartphone’s release approaches, questions remain about its manufacturing origins and the accuracy of its marketing claims.
