Precision Time Protocol (PTP) & Network Time Protocol (NTP) Equipment

PTP and NTP are network-based time synchronization standards. NTP is accurate to millisecond-level synchronization. PTP networks aim to achieve nanosecond- or even picosecond-level synchronization.

Syncworks wrap our best in class service around Microchip’s technologically advanced PTP NTP servers.

VALUE ADDS: We will audit, engineer, install, validate, teach and train your staff. Our Field Services will ensure your GPS antenna, grounding, and ingress are highly reliable.

TimeProvider® 4100

The TimeProvider® 4100 is a gateway clock, a new class of synchronization product that accepts multiple inputs from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Synchronous Ethernet (SynE), and 1588 PTP Grandmaster Clock and E1/T1 digital transmission links, and distributes timing flows to multiple end points such as base stations. A gateway clock benefits from multiple layers of protection leveraging other assets in the core of the network.

Field Services & SyncCare

Before starting any project, Syncworks’ network sync specialists will conduct a site survey. We’ll assess the status of your current sync equipment — its operation, office wiring, records, related power and grounding, and output capacity. Then, based on the gathered data, we’ll propose a new configuration, design layout, and scope of services. Field Services will install, do the cutover, and verify the signal.

IEEE 1588 PTP GNSS IGM Grandmaster Synchronization

While time synchronization has always been essential for wireless networks to function, requirements have evolved dramatically as operators increase small cell use and optimize spectrum usage to enable 4.5G, 4.9G and 5G network capabilities. Accurate phase synchronization is now increasingly critical to support new features and services in these networks. For example, coordination between base stations for broadcast video delivery and interference mitigation between macro base stations and small cells in dense deployments drive the need for strict phase specifications.

Syncworks GNSS IGM Grandmaster from Microchip

Outdoor Integrated Grandmaster IGM and IGM Plus: 1100o Release 3.0

Building materials, low GNSS signal strength or other constraints sometimes interfere with indoor small cell synchronization using GNSS PTP grandmaster timing systems. Solving this challenge is Microsemi’s outdoor integrated grandmaster, the IGM 1100o. Like the indoor version, this compact IGM grandmaster delivers precise time indoors to serve indoor small cells. However, IGM 1100o is ruggedized to support a wider temperature range, so that it can be installed on a building rooftop, instead of an interior wall or ceiling.

    SyncServer® S650

The SyncServer® S650 uses Microchip’s FlexPort technology to provide unmatched synchronization flexibility and performance. The GNSS-referenced S650 is easily adaptable for modern instrumentation systems and networks that require best-in-class synchronization performance for a wide range of applications.

This modular time server combines the best of time and frequency instrumentation with unique flexibility and powerful network-based and security-hardened features. The timing output flexibility provides easy replication of precise and coherent output signals, eliminating the need for a signal distribution chassis.

    SyncServers® S600

Modern networks require accurate, secure and reliable time services. The security-hardened SyncServer S600 network time server delivers exact hardware-based Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Precise Time Protocol (PTP) timestamps. In addition to its unparalleled accuracy and security, the S600 offers outstanding and easy-to-use features for reliable network time services to meet the needs of networks and business operations today and into the future.
