Carrier-Grade NTP/PTP Solutions from Syncworks
In the operation of Carrier-Class communication networks, secure and accurate timing is absolutely vital. When something means this much to your business and meeting the needs of your customers, compromise is simply not an option.
The TimeProvider ® 5000 is a carrier grade IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) Grandmaster with additional capabilities, including NTP and SyncE, that provide a flexible technology suite to match the synchronization needs of evolving networks.
The TimeProvider® 5000 is an IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) Grandmaster Clock that enables communications service providers to build a stable, robust and reliable network infrastructure. An NTP server option and expansion shelf capabilities that include PTP and Synchronous Ethernet make this timing and synchronization system capable of supporting network needs today and in the future. A carrier-grade design with flexible capabilities is vital to enable circuit to packet network migration for high-speed data services and wireless backhaul, and to deliver 3G, 4G/LTE, LTE-Advanced, 5G wireless, as well as broadband multimedia to the network edge and customer premise. The latest release includes IPv6 options for PTP and NTP services, as well as expanded GNSS support options including GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo.
The TimeProvider® 4100 is a gateway clock, a new class of synchronization product that accepts multiple inputs from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Synchronous Ethernet (SynE), and 1588 PTP and E1/T1 digital transmission links, and distributes timing flows to multiple end points such as base stations. A gateway clock benefits from multiple layers of protection leveraging other assets in the core of the network.
High Performance, Enhanced Security Network Time Server
The new SyncServer S600 GPS / GNSS, Stratum 1 network time server with security-hardened NTP Reflector™ technology improves the security, accuracy and the reliability of the time services on the network for IT network administrators working to provide network time services in hardened network operations.
Ruggedized and Secure Stratum 1 Network Time Server (NTP)
The Microsemi SyncServer S80 is a fully integrated GPS/GLONASS antenna, receiver, NTP server, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) interface that easily integrates into existing PoE infrastructure to immediately be the source of accurate, secure, and reliable time stamps for all network connected devices. Network isolated physical security systems benefit as the ruggedized Stratum 1 network time server is ideal for time-synchronizing IP security cameras, access control devices, and digital/network video recorders. SyncServer S80 is also suitable for synchronizing the time on small enterprise networks.
TimeHub® 5500 is an NGN-ready platform designed to meet all traditional central office synchronization and timing requirements, and to provide next generation PackeTime® solutions critical to advanced service offerings such as IPTV. Designed to meet synchronization requirements for today’s demanding video and data applications, Microsemi”s TimeHub 5500 is the next generation BITS. It is a modular, fully redundant timing distribution system that tracks incoming timing references and qualifies the signals against network timing standards. It then filters and distributes precise timing to all equipment in the central office. Already deployed as the workhorse for major fiber deployments in North America, the TimeHub 5500 is the platform of choice for delivery of carrier grade Network Timing Protocol required to assure high QoS delivery of NGN applications and content.
NTP requirements in telecommunication networks have rapidly evolved from a “best effort” utility to mission critical. With high performance NTP server cards the SSU 2000/SSU 2000e platform delivers carrier-grade NTP to meet demanding next generation network requirements. The NTP server cards provide the performance, scale, availability and security that assure high QoS delivery of advanced services such as IPTV, multimedia content delivery and residential small cells, as well as distributed BSS/OSS operation.
